Alien Sex Fiend - R.I.P. (Blue Crumb Truck) 7" Single Info:
This 3rd single was released as a double A side single & was produced by Alien Sex Fiend themselves. An immediate independent chart hit, the single stayed at the top of the charts for weeks whilst Alien Sex Fiend toured the USA & Canada. The 7" single features completely new recordings, so the version of "R.I.P" is totally different to the one on the "Batcave " album ("Young Limbs, Numb Hymns") & "New Christian Music" is different to the "Whos' Been Sleeping In My Brain?" LP version. Both tracks are shorter, edited versions of the ones on the 12" single which was released at the same time. There was an initial limited edition released in a black & white poster sleeve, later 7" singles were available in a bone yellow and black cover; with the same Nik Fiend cover art as the 12", a limited number of which were on blood red coloured vinyl. Now deleted.

Produced by Alien Sex Fiend. The version of "R.I.P" is the shorter one & is the same as the one on the 7" single. The Nik Fiend designed cover is different to the 7" & 12" singles. Both of the live tracks are recordings from live sessions on the Swiss Radio show "Rock Line" in January 1984. This was a limited edition only release & is now deleted. This 10" was re-issued in 1990 as part of the Alien Sex Fiend Box Set. The Box Set is also now deleted.
