A new 28 track double CD collection of rare mixes, remixes and B-sides that featured on Alien Sex Fiend's 12" singles dating from 1983-1995. Sourced from the Anagram Records archives, this collection features tracks that have not been available since their original release, some appearing on CD for the first time.

The CD booklet features a full UK discography with accompanying front covers, sleeve notes and some of the rare 12" sleeves that have long since been deleted. This double CD features a version of all of the band's Anagram 12" singles, all 17 of them!

Fifth on the list of artists with the most all-time indie single chart entries, Alien Sex Fiend continue to attract attention from the music world. The band have earned a reputation for being fiercely independent and have a unique persona in an industry that thrives on formulas. The band are still very active with live shows across Europe and they are currently recording new material that will be released next year on their own label 13th Moon Records.

It was great hearing from fans in all corners of the world from Costa Rica to Hungary to New Zealand, you really are EVERYWHERE! It was wonderful to hear of your love for all things ASF & there's some extraordinary devotion out there, including some fans who offered to pay postage on their prize if they won!

There were some amusing comments amongst the entries too, thank you for those! And if you included any messages within your competition email, please understand that there were SO many entries that I am sorry but I cannot deal with individual answers.

Rumours have been flying around for some time about this tour & at last dates are getting confirmed... as you can imagine we are extremely excited at the prospect of getting back to the U.S. of A after sooooo long.....!!!! We had wanted to hold off on releasing this news until things were more concrete with a full list of all definite cities & venues but things are moving along very quickly with tickets starting to be released so we wanted to let you know whatever news we have RIGHT NOW.... so below are the current dates...

If your town or city isn't on the listing, and we don't make it to your particular neck o the woods, we're sorry but we ARE travelling a helluva long way to come over, so you'll have to meet us half way, wontcha? ... it's taken SO long to get this tour happening & gawd knows when we'll get back to the U.S. again, so DON'T MISS IT this time around!

Even more good news is they should all be "ALL AGES SHOWS" other than Chicago & Detroit!

2008 will be the 25th anniversary year of the infamous ORIGINAL BATCAVE TOUR of 1983 which featured Alien Sex Fiend & Specimen.... the band, Specimen, will be reforming for this tour & they will be appearing with us at these shows...

Remaining dates - The San Francisco date is the only one still awaiting full confirmation. It is now very unlikely that the Washington DC & Portland shows will happen & no other dates will now be added.

San Francisco - Regency Ballroom - this venue has been chosen because the DNA Lounge (a well known SF venue) has been subjected to a change in its fire regulations & its capacity has been reduced as a result but more importantly that venue has now become a 21+ venue, & the tour promoter is doing his utmost to secure ALL AGES shows at ALL venues. I have also been told by an ASF News list member that they had a tour of the Regency Ballroom after its restoration and re-opening as the venue that it is now. They said that the ballroom is amazing with great acoustics & a theatre type vibe that will be fantastic with the environment that Alien Sex Fiend create on-stage.

Chicago / Detroit - These are 18+ shows due to the licensing laws. There would be a curfew at 10pm if it was under 18 & that would mean starting the show at about 6pm!

Mexico - The promoter did try to get a show in Mexico added after the Los Angeles date, but it didn't work out.

VIP Packages - These will be available for all shows.

Other cities - The Fiends & the promoter are sorry but there will not be any shows in Canada. Boston has proved difficult in locating a good venue, now that the Manray has closed, so there will not be a show there. The only Florida show is Ft Lauderdale, rumours about Jacksonville are simply rumours. Excepting confirmation of San Francisco, no further dates will be added, due to the routing of the tour a number of days need to be kept free for travelling. This is the best that the promoter has been able to come up with, & he's done a good job, especially bearing in mind the great distances that need to be covered in a limited period of time. And even more so, the fact that this is a totally independent tour, without record company support or back up. These dates are more than has happened for 10 years, so even though they may not be perfect because ASF aren't coming to your particular city, let's not look a gift horse in the mouth, & start making your travel plans now!
